Asics Wilmslow 1/2 Marathon 2009

Although I haven't even ran my first one, my second half marathon became a fact this week. On 29th March 2009 I will be running the popular Asics Wilmslow Half Marathon. There was also a 1/2 marathon that day in Liverpool but I wanted 'a change of scenery' as I've ran many races in the 2008 Capital of Culture.

In a few weeks time the online entries for the Chester 1/2 marathon will open so number 3 on 17th May 2009 will be booked soon too. Of the three Chester is the easiest from what I've heard and Helsby my first one the toughest.

Although not been training as much as I'd liked recently, still feeling confident that I'll run 1u50' on 18/01/09.

Pascal, my brother emailed me the mile by mile schedule we will follow:

"Hier het volledige lijstje met je tusentijden op 18/01 :
Mijl 1 : 8'23"
Mijl 2 : 16'46"
Mijl 3 : 25'10"
Mijl 4 : 33'33"
Mijl 5 : 41'57"
Mijl 6 : 50'20"
Mijl 7 : 58'54"
Mijl 8 : 1h07'07"Mijl 9 : 1h15'31"
Mijl 10 : 1h23'54"
Mijl 11 : 1h32'18"
Mijl 12 : 1h40'41"
Mijl 13 : 1h49'05"
Mijl 13,109 : 1h50'00"

I know that Mark, my training partner, wants to start faster but he is welcome to do so! I will stay with my brother and follow his advice as he's the expert.

Pascal is running a 15km race in Deerlijk, Belgium, tomorrow and hopefully he'll run a good result.
I will be doing my 10mile training with Mark and hopefully the weather will be dry. It's been a miserable rainy day in Chester today.
