Decided to follow advice from more experienced long distance runners and do a training session today. It went lots better than expected and managed to do 8.8km at a pace of 10.5km/h. Did a few short efforts with the faster runners too but couldn't keep up the speed. Legs felt ok but my breathing was all over the place with my cold.
Anyway, good session and now a well deserved rest until Thursday when we're doing the hilly route with the group.
