Short Cross-country race in Moorslede, Belgium on Sunday 25th October 2009: 9th place out of 44 finishers

Decided while I was in Belgium for a long weekend (main reason to see Roxette at The Night of The Proms in Antwerp on Saturday 24th October), to run a short 3km cross-country race in Moorslede, not too far from where my parents live.

Really enjoyed the race, especially the fast start, even if I ran out of steam after one lap:(

Here are some photos of the race, and thanks for these to Ludo Depoortere and Martine (sorry don't have surname but this excellent photographer is Herman Van den Borre's wife)!!
Note: more photos to follow tomorrow!!!

Marathon result: 4h04'50": very happy!

For my Engish friends a quick update tomorrow. Need my bed now as very very tired and feet & legs aching badly! Oh dear I so need that sports massage tomorrow!!!

Ready for action!

Apologies, but don't really have a lot of time for long blog entries. Travelling to London tomorrow to present there on Thursday and off to Belgium after for my brother's wedding on Friday and the marathon on Sunday! How hectic can you get!!

Not doing a lot of running anymore this week. A short session in London tomorrow evening and same again Friday in Belgium. Going for a sports massage on Saturday so hopefully that will get my legs ready for a good run Sunday. Also eating lots of pasta and trying to drink lots of water and minimise the coffee intake. That's quite tricky!

Will try and post a message on my blog with the marathon result as soon as possible after the race, but it might be Monday before I get the chance or have the energy!

Ciao Nathalie
